Dihydroactinidiolide is an acetylcholinesterase (AchE) inhibitor with an IC50 of 34.03. Dihydroactinidiolide increases the levels of Nrf2 and HO-1, reduces intracellular levels of ROS, nitrite, lipid peroxidation and protein carbonylation, scavenges DPPH and NO free radicals, and exhibits metal ion chelating activity. Dihydroactinidiolide inhibits the self-aggregation of Abeta25-35 and suppresses cell apoptosis. Dihydroactinidiolide inhibits seed germination and seedling growth, and acts as a pheromone component in insects and mammals. Dihydroactinidiolide can be used in research related to Alzheimers disease[1][2][3].
