Immunogen: A peptide corresponding to an 18aa peptide from near the amino terminus of human MORF4.
Mortality Factor 4 (MORF4), known also as SEN1 and cellular senescence-related protein 1. MORF4 is a nuclear localized protein possessing transcription factor-like motifs such as helix-loop-helix and a leucine zipper motif that are believed to allow it to form transcriptionally active homo- or heterodimers. MORF4 has been shown to bind to the transcription co-repressors mSin3A and TLE, suggesting that together, these complexes may play a role in transcriptional repression of genes that lead to cellular senescence. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/ml Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human brain tissue Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Purity: Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Form: Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
