Immunogen: Synthetic peptide selected from the center region of human MAPK11 (KLH).
MAPK11 is a Ser/Thr kinase involved in a signal transduction pathway that is activated by changes in the osmolarity of the extracellular environment, by cytokines, or by environmental stress. It preferentially phosphorylates transcription factor ATF2. This protein is activated by phosphorylation on threonine and tyrosine by MKK6, and is inhibited by pyridinyl-imidazole related compounds. Highest expression levels are in the brain and heart, with additional expression in the placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Purity: Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation
