Synthetic peptide made to an internal region (within residues 500-600) of the mouse CD11 (b/c) protein. Species Sequence Homology: murine CD11b and CD11c - 100%, human CD11b, CD11c and CD11d - 92%.
CD11b is implicated in various adhesive interactions of monocytes, macrophages and granulocytes as well as in mediating the uptake of complement coated particles. It is also a marker for hematopoietic/neural stem and progenitor cells and microglia. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Using macrophage lysates, a doublet is seen at ~95 and 103kD. A weaker doublet is also seen at ~130 and 160kD. Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded sections): 5-10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
