| The epitope is dependent on the presence of the (I) domain of alpha 2 integrin subunit and does not bind VLA-2 variant which lacks the Idomain. Inhibits VLA-2 mediated cell adhesion to collagen and laminin. Does not detect alpha 2 integrin subunit by Western Blot presumably due to conformational properties of the epitope involved. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Flow Cytometry, Inhibition and Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunoprecipitation: 2-5ug for lysate of 10e6 cells Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 5ug/ml Inhibition: 10ug/ml Inhibits VLA-2 mediated cell adhesion to collagen and laminin. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
