MaxLight(TM)490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight(TM)488, Alexa Fluor(TM)488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm), Emission (515nm), Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Does not detect alpha 2 integrin subunit by Western Blot presumably due to conformational properties of the epitope involved. The epitope is dependent on the presence of the I-domain of alpha 2 integrin subunit and does not bind VLA-2 variant which lacks the I-domain. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, and Inhibition of VLA-2 mediated cell adhesion to collagen and laminin. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: P3X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight(TM)490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
