Oncostatin M Receptor beta (OSM Rb) is a type I transmembrane protein that binds OSM with low affinity by itself and high affinity as an OSM Rb/gp130 heterodimer. OSM Rb is widely expressed and transduces signals involved in hematopoiesis, liver development, peripheral neuron repair and epithelial cell function. Mature human OSM Rb contains a 712aa extracellular domain (ECD) with one partial and one complete hematopoietin domain, an Ig-like domain and three fibronectin type-III domains, a 22aa transmembrane segment, and a 218aa cytoplasmic domain. Human OSM Rb ECD shares 55% aa sequence identity with mouse OSM Rb. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
