Oncostatin M Receptor beta (OSM Rb) is a type I transmembrane protein that binds OSM with low affinity by itself and high affinity as an OSM Rb/gp130 heterodimer. OSM Rb is widely expressed and transduces signals involved in hematopoiesis, liver development, peripheral neuron repair and epithelial cell function. Mature human OSM Rb contains a 712aa extracellular domain (ECD) with one partial and one complete hematopoietin domain, an Ig-like domain and three fibronectin type-III domains, a 22aa transmembrane segment, and a 218aa cytoplasmic domain. Human OSM Rb ECD shares 55% aa sequence identity with mouse OSM Rb. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
