The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the inhibitor of DNA binding (ID) family, members of which are transcriptional regulators that contain a helix-loop-helix (HLH) domain but not a basic domain. Members of the ID family inhibit the functions of basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors in a dominant-negative manner by suppressing their heterodimerization partners through the HLH domains. This protein may play a role in negatively regulating cell differentiation. A pseudogene has been identified for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Sandwich ELISA: The detection limit is ~0.3ng/ml as a capture antibody Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Amino Acid Sequence: MKAFSPVRSVRKNSLSDHSLGISRSKTPVDDPMSLLYNMNDCYSKLKELVPSIPQNKKVSKMEILQHVIDYILDLQIALDSHPTIVSLHHQRPGQNQASRTPLTTLNTDISILSLQASEFPSELMSNDSKALCG Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
