Immunogen: Partial recombinant corresponding to aa551-651 from human FAF1 (NP_008982) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
FAF1 (Fas-associated protein factor 1) specifically interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of wild type, but not mutated, Fas in both yeast and mammalian cells. When transiently expressed in T cells, FAF1 potentiates Fas-induced apoptosis. In contrast to TRADD, FADD, and RIP, FAF1 lacks a DDH (Death domain homologous region) and cannot induce apoptosis independent of Fas activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 30ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Amino Acid Sequence: EAIRLSLEQALPPEPKEENAEPVSKLRIRTPSGEFLERRFLASNKLQIVFDFVASKGFPWDEYKLLSTFPRRDVTQLDPNKSLLEVKLFPQETLFLEAKE Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
