Full length human ALKBH3, aa1-286 (AAI03813.1).
ALKBH3 is a member of the ALKB family of proteins and functions as a dioxygenase with a preference for RNA and single stranded DNA substrates. This protein repairs 1-methyladenine and 3-methylcytosine lesions in alkylated DNA and RNA and its activity is stimulated by ascorbate. ALKBH3 is expressed in a wide variety of tissues and localizes to the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
