For the quantitative determination of human fatty acid binding protein 4 in serum and plasma.. Sensitivity: 15.6pg/ml Detection Range: 62.5-4000pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human FABP-4. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human FABP-4 and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with FABP-4. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody preparation specific for FABP-4. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated FABP-4 and FABP-4 in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of FABP-4 in the samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components: Microtiter Strips, 1x96 wells Standard (Freeze dried), 2xvial HRP-conjugate (100X), 1x60ul HRP-conjugate Diluent, 1x10ml Sample Diluent, 2x20ml Wash Buffer (25X), 1x20ml TMB Substrate, 1x10ml Stop Solution: 1x10ml Storage and Stability: Store all kit components at 4C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
