| For the quantitative determination of mouse Corticosterone in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 3.9ng/ml Detection Range: 15.6-1000ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse CORT. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse CORT and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antigen. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a biotin-conjugated CORT antibody. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between CORT (Standards or samples) and pre-coated CORT with the biotin-conjugated antibody. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in opposite to the amount of CORT in sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
