Ac-RR-AFC TFA is a fluorescent substrate for cathepsin B (Ex=400 nm, Em=505 nm). The activity of cathepsin B in cell lysates is determined by the cleavage of Ac-RR-AFC TFA at the RR-AFC amide bond. Ac-RR-AFC TFA is utilized for activity assays and mechanistic studies of cathepsin B.
