Mollicellin K is a benzophenone derivative isolated from Chaetomium brasiliense. It exhibits antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum (IC50 = 1.2 µM), and antifungal activity against Candida albicans (IC50 = 1.2 µM). Additionally, Mollicellin K demonstrates cytotoxicity towards KB cells (IC50 = 1.9 µM), BC1 cells (IC50 = 6.8 µM), NCI-H187 cells (IC50 = 0.35 µM), and five cholangiocarcinoma cell lines. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) for tuberculosis is 12.5 µM.
