Full length recombinant human protein was used as the immunogen for the 14-3-3 Sigma antibody.
SFN (Stratifin), also called 14-3-3 Sigma, is a p53-induced tumor suppressor gene which is activated in response to DNA damage, causing cell cycle arrest at G2 phase by blocking cdc2-cyclin B1 complex from entering the nucleus. It is inactivated in breast, lung, prostate, liver and gastric cancer. It is associated with poor prognosis when its down-regulation is observed in epithelial ovarian cancer. SFN expression could contribute to cancer cell proliferation and the development and/or progression of human gastrointestinal cancer.
0.2 mg/ml in 1X PBS with 0.1 mg/ml BSA (US sourced) and 0.05% sodium azide
Antibody Type:
Primary Antibody
Application Dilute:
Western blot: 1-2ug/ml,Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 0.5-1ug/ml for 30 min at RT
Application Notes:
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the 14-3-3 Sigma antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
