A portion of amino acids 109-137 from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the PNPLA3 antibody.
The protein encoded by this gene is a triacylglycerol lipase that mediates triacylglycerol hydrolysis in adipocytes. The encoded protein, which appears to be membrane bound, may be involved in the balance of energy usage/storage in adipocytes.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the PNPLA3 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
