Isorutarin is a phenylpropanoid compound that can be found in the seeds of Seseli diffusum. Isorutarin exhibits spasmolytic activity and induces contraction in isolated rabbit jejunal smooth muscle specimens, with an EC50 of 0.3 mg/mL. Isorutarin has antioxidant activity and scavenges free radicals in in vitro DPPH assays[1].
