Motilin-producing cells are distributed in the duodenum and upper jejunum. Gut motility is stimulated by motilin. Has been detected in colorectal adenocarinomas and in midgut carcinoids. Applications: Suitable for use in RIA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin): 1:50-1:100. Dilute before use with PBS. Incubate 1 hour at RT. No proteolytic treatment required Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Duodenum Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
