Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for use in Western Blot since the epitope most likely involves both alpha 6 and beta 1 integrin subunit. Does not block alpha 6 integrin mediated cell adhesion to laminin. Activation of integrin signaling properties by MA6 has not been characterized. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunoprecipitation: 2ug of MA6. (10e6 cell lysate). Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 20ug/ml Immunocytochemistry: Cell lines tested by using antibody to express alpha 6 integrins include: mouse bone marrow-derived mast cells, melanoma cell line B16F1, squamous carcinoma SCC-VII, fibroblast cell line NIH-3T3, splenic T lymphocytes, thymocytes and various T cell lines. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Cells lines that express Integrin alpha6: Mouse bone marrow-derived mast cells, melanoma cell line B16F1, ssquamous carcinoma SCC-VII, fibroblast cell line NIH-3T3, splenic T-lymphocytes, thymocytes and various T-cell lines. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
