Human beta Chorionic Gonadotropin conjugated to various carrier proteins.
Since the Beta chain levels rise faster in urine, the antibody will detect human Chorionic Gonadotropin in urine as early as 1-3 days after successful (artificial) conception as opposed to alpha or dimer specific antibodies. In hCG producing tumors such as certain chorial, testicular, embyionic and lung carcinomas, the Beta chain is also produced in higher quantaties than the alpha or dimeric chains. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen, paraffin Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
