MaxLight(TM)550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor(TM)546, 555, DyLight(TM)549 , Cy3(TM), TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm), Emission (575nm), Extinction Coefficient 150,000. FAF1 (Fas-associated protein factor 1) specifically interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of wild type, but not mutated, Fas in both yeast and mammalian cells. When transiently expressed in T cells, FAF1 potentiates Fas-induced apoptosis. In contrast to TRADD, FADD, and RIP, FAF1 lacks a DDH (Death domain homologous region) and cannot induce apoptosis independent of Fas activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
