Sensitivity: 0.25ng/ml Detection Range: 0.5ng/ml-8ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of pig EGF. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between pig EGF and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for EGF has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for EGF. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of EGF bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
