| For the quantitative determination of human Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 10ng/ml Detection Range: 20-4000ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human DHEA-S. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human DHEA-S and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for DHEA-S and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated DHEA-S. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled DHEA-S and unlabeled DHEA-S with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of DHEA-S in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components: Microtiter Strips, 1x96 wells Standard, 6x0.5ml Antibody, 1x6ml HRP-conjugate, 1x6ml Wash Buffer (20X), 1x15ml Substrate A, 1x7ml Substrate B, 1x 7ml Storage and Stability: Store all kit components at 4C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
