| For the quantitative determination of rabbit Cortisol in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 62.5pmol/ml Detection Range: 62.5-1000pmol/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of rabbit Cortisol. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between rabbit Cortisol and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Cortisol. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Biotin-conjugated Cortisol. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between Cortisol (Standards or samples) and Biotin-conjugated Cortisol with the pre-coated antibody specific for Cortisol. The more amount of Cortisol in samples, the less antibody bound by Biotin-conjugated Cortisol. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of Cortisol in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components: Microtiter Strips, 1x96 wells Standard, 6x1ml Conjugate, 1x6ml HRP-avidin, 1x6ml Wash Buffer (20X), 1x15ml Substrate A, 1x7ml Substrate B, 1x7ml Storage and Stability: Store all kit components at 4C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
