Ac-FR-AFC TFA is a fluorescent substrate for cathepsin L (Ex=400 nm, Em=505 nm). The activity of cathepsin L in cell lysates is determined by measuring the cleavage of Ac-FR-AFC TFA, which occurs at the RR-AFC amide bond. This compound is applicable for activity assays and mechanistic studies of cathepsin L.
