5(6)-Rhodamine 6G maleimide is a fluorescent reagent based on Rhodamine 6G and belongs to the maleimide class. The maleimide (maleimide) group can react with thiols (-SH) through an affinity addition reaction, forming a stable thioester structure for labeling purposes (Ex/Em = 526/547 nm).
