AZ1136 is a highly selective gamma-secretase modulator (GSM) that reduces the levels of Abeta42 and Abeta40, with IC50 values of 990 and 1400 nM, respectively. It increases the levels of Abeta39 and Abeta37 without affecting Abeta38. AZ1136 is utilized in Alzheimers disease research.
