Narasin is a polyether ionophore antibiotic with established antimicrobial activity and reported potential antiviral and anticancer effects in experimental studies. Narasin has been shown to inhibit NF-kappaB signaling and induce apoptosis in tumor cells, and may suppress tumor metastasis and the growth of ERalpha-positive breast cancer cells by modulating TGF-beta/SMAD3 and IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathways
