A portion of amino acids 496-524 from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the USP17L24 antibody.
USP17 recognizes and hydrolyzes the peptide bond at the C-terminal Gly of ubiquitin. Involved in the processing of poly-ubiquitin precursors as well as that of ubiquinated proteins (By similarity).
