Phosphatidic acid phosphatase type 2 domain-containing protein 1B or Phospholipid phosphatase 5 displays magnesium-independent phosphatidate phosphatase activity in vitro. Catalyzes the conversion of phosphatidic acid to diacylglycerol. May be a metastatic suppressor for hepatocellular carcinoma.
