BO-1 is a benzoate ester compound with antibacterial activity against multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It demonstrates synergistic effects with ciprofloxacin to reverse antibiotic resistance and has been shown in murine models to reduce levels of the inflammatory markers IL-6 and C-reactive protein.
