The IL36 subfamily of cytokines is the most diverse, including three agonists(IL36alpha, IL36beta, and IL36gamma), one antagonist(IL36Ra), one cognate receptor(IL36R) and one accessory protein(IL1RAcP). The receptor activation follows a twostep mechanism in that the agonist first binds to IL36R and the resulting binary complex recruits IL1RAcP. IL36Ra inhibits the activity of IL36 (IL36alpha, IL36beta, and IL36gamma) by binding to the receptor IL36R and preventing IL36R from associating with the coreceptor IL1RAcP for signaling. - Proteine/Peptide
